Morning calls go out at 8:00 AM in India
You'll know she's okay.Every morning.
Roju calls your mother or father in India every morning in warm, unhurried Telugu. It asks about sleep, medicines and mood, plays the voice note you left last night, and gets milk to the door if she needs it. By 8:10 her time you have three honest lines on WhatsApp. If anything sounds wrong, you hear about it within a minute.

Her 8:00 AM call happens while it's evening in the US. You read the summary before bed.
నమస్కారం అమ్మా, నేను చిన్నా అసిస్టెంట్ని. ఈ రోజు ఎలా ఉన్నారు?Namaskaram Amma, it's Chinna's assistant. How are you today?
బాగున్నాను. కాస్త మోకాలి నొప్పి.I'm fine. A little knee pain.
అయ్యో. రాత్రి నిద్ర పట్టిందా అమ్మా?Oh no. Did you sleep last night, Amma?
సరిగ్గా పట్టలేదు.Not properly.
ఈ రోజు బీపీ చూసుకున్నారా? ఎంత వచ్చింది?Did you check your BP today? What was it?
148 / 88One forty-eight over eighty-eight.
Slept badly again, third night. Says the knee wakes her.
BP 148/88, higher than her usual. Took Telma, ate tiffin.
Quieter than usual. Asked when you're coming home. Sleep and BP both drifting this week
What a daily call catches
The part you can't see from 8,000 miles away.
Nothing dramatic happens on a Tuesday. She sleeps badly for four nights, eats a little less, stops mentioning the pain because she doesn't want to worry you. On Sunday's video call she smiles and says everything is fine.
A call every morning catches the slope. You don't get an alarm. You get a pattern, early enough to act: call her doctor, ask a cousin to drop by, book the flight sooner rather than later.
Amma, this week
Four short nights, and her blood pressure climbing with them. She hasn't mentioned either to anyone. Sunday's summary puts the two side by side.
Inside the call
A conversation, not a form.
Four to seven minutes in Telugu, one question at a time, using respectful మీరు, her medicines by name and the grandchildren's names. Pick a moment to see what she hears and what you get.
Slept badly, third night. Knee pain again.
Ate tiffin, drinking water. In good spirits otherwise.Third poor night in a row
- Everyone you add gets the same three lines: you, your brother, your sister.
- A weekly summary every Sunday with the trends.
Telma taken. Metformin missed, she'll take it after tiffin.Missed Metformin twice this week
- Each medicine is asked about by name, at the times you set.
- She reads her own BP or sugar aloud and it's logged as she said it, against the ranges you set.
Record twenty seconds before bed: news about the kids, a reminder, or just your voice. It plays inside tomorrow's call. A check-in can be ignored. A call that brings your voice gets answered.
- Takes as long as sending a text.
- You're told whether she heard it and what she said.

The errand
It checks on her. And it shops for her.
After the medicines, Roju asks once whether she needs anything at home. She says it in Telugu, it reads the list back, she says yes. No app on her phone, no card, no address to type.
She asks
పాలు రెండు ప్యాకెట్లు
Read back
Quantities confirmed. She says yes.
Within your limit
₹500 an order, ₹3,000 a month, unless you change it.
Placed
On your Zepto account, paid from your Zepto wallet.
At her door
Your receipt arrives on WhatsApp.
Tested for real · October 2026
Two real orders on a live Zepto account.
Roju found the right milk, checked the total against the limit, and placed the order. The second time it paid from Zepto Cash by itself, with nobody tapping anything. Zepto confirmed both with an 8 to 9 minute delivery estimate.
When something is actually wrong
The check-in stops. A human gets involved. Fast.
If she mentions chest pain, breathlessness, a fall or confusion, or says she's alone and frightened, Roju drops the script. It tells her calmly what to do and starts the escalation you set up.
Roju is not a medical or emergency service and never gives medical advice. It listens, notices and puts a person on it. In an emergency in India, call 112 or 108.
She says "కొంచెం గుండె నొప్పిగా ఉంది." My chest hurts a little.
Roju tells her to keep the phone close and to call 108 if she needs to. No questions, no script.
You get a WhatsApp alert and a phone call. It's 9:33 PM in Dallas.
Her local contact gets an SMS to go and check. A neighbour, a cousin, whoever you name.
On Daily Plus, our care line calls her back. A person, in Telugu.

Your voice in her morning

The first call happens with you on speaker. It asks her permission, and she can tell it to stop anytime.

Questions
What people ask before they start.
Anything else? Write to hello@rojuhome.com. A person replies.
Why wouldn't I just call her myself?
You should, and you will. But you call on Sunday, and she tells you she's fine, because that's what mothers do. Roju is the daily check she can't wave away, at an hour that doesn't need you awake, and it leaves a record you can look back on. It makes your own call better, because you already know what to ask about.
Will she know it's AI?
Yes. It introduces itself as "Chinna's assistant" and says plainly that it's an assistant you set up if she asks. You're on the first call with her, so she's never surprised by it. Most parents come to treat it like a punctual, slightly formal relative who rings every morning.
How does the free trial work?
Three days, free, and you don't need a card to start. Set it up, do the first call with her, and the morning calls begin. To keep them going after day three, choose a plan. If you don't, the calls simply stop and nothing is charged.
How does grocery ordering work?
She asks on the call and you get a WhatsApp line with the list. If your own Zepto account is connected, the order is placed within your limit and paid from your Zepto wallet or UPI limit, or we send you a payment link. Zepto connection is rolling out; until it's on for you, our care line places orders from a prepaid pantry balance. Over the limit, out of stock, or an address the shop doesn't serve, you hear immediately and nothing is charged.
What if she doesn't answer?
We ring three times over an hour, then tell you. One reply from you messages her local contact to go and check. If she keeps not answering, that's something you want to know about.
Is her health information safe?
Calls are never recorded as audio. Transcripts are deleted after 90 days. Her profile and call notes are stored in India, go only to the family numbers you add, and are never sold or used for ads. You can delete everything from Settings. The privacy notice has the details.
Can my brother and sister get the updates too?
Yes. Add their WhatsApp numbers and everyone gets the same three lines, the same alerts and the Sunday summary.
Which languages?
Telugu, Telugu mixed with English, Hindi and simple Indian English today. Tamil and Kannada are next.
Is this a medical service?
No. Roju never diagnoses or gives medical advice. It asks the questions you set, notes what she says, and gets a person involved when something sounds wrong. For emergencies in India, call 112 or 108.
